Doug is co-founder and principal of Dutchess Capital Management LLC (DCM) where he oversees research and risk management. He is a member of the firm's Investment Committee. Prior to co-founding DCM in 2000, in 1996 he co-founded Dutchess Advisors, Ltd., a boutique investment bank arranging equity and debt financings for both public and private companies in North America, Europe and Asia. Doug has over 22 years of experience in securities, investment banking and asset management, debt financing, secured lending and asset recovery. Doug has served on the board of directors public companies for the past 8 years and continues to serve on two boards advising on financing and operations.  From 1990 to 1996, Mr. Leighton was the President of Beacon Capital, a Boston-based investment banking firm. Mr. Leighton received a combined Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Hartford in 1990.
